The USUAA Election Board has five students at large who organize both fall and spring elections. The board provides training workshops for all candidates and poll sitters. The board staffs each polling location by collaborating with student clubs and Greek organizations.
Special elections are held every two years during spring prior to general elections to nominate two UAA students to the Governor of Alaska to be appointed as student regent and student commissioner, if selected these students are appointed to represent the University of Alaska student population.
To be included on the election ballot candidates must complete the Candidacy Application Packet. Packets are due Friday, October 9, 2009 by 12:00 p.m. to the Student Life and Leadership office, Studen Union room 218.
