In a psychiatric emergency, please call Emergency Services (907) 563-3200 or go to the Providence Hospital Psychiatric Emergency Room.

The Student Health and Counseling Center provides primary health services for physical and mental health, diagnosis, and treatment of general health and mental health conditions as well as education and support to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.
We provide:
Birth control and emergency contraception
Campus outreach and promotions
Classroom lectures
Community referral for complex or specialized medical needs
Depression screenings
Emergency food cache for students
Free HIV screening
Free TB tests
Individual mental health counseling and/or medication services
Prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections
Program specific health requirements
Public health interventions
Routine immunizations
SAD light loan programs for students diagnosed with SAD
"Stress buster" events such as free lunches during final exams
Student Insurance Travel counseling and travel immunizations
Weekly health education seminars
Women's annual examinations including Pap Smears
