Contraceptive Refills

 Please Note:

We now have Electronic Medical Records with a few changes for refill requests.

When you pick up your refill you may pay cash, check, credit card or charge it to your UAA student account.

Insurance for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and United Health Care only will be billed by the Student Health and Counseling Center.

Some of our contraceptive prices have increased.

Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo - $52.50 each
Nuva Ring - $44 each

A new Federal law, the Federal Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) of 2005 has dramatically increased the cost of contraceptives on campus. We are particularly affected by newly enacted regulations that forbid drug companies to sell us contraceptives at reduced prices.

For example, we used to be able to purchase the Nuva ring for $6. It now costs $44. This is almost a 500% increase!
Oral contraceptives also increased the same amount... and we dispense a lot of contraception. The charges for these items that are passed on to students is minimal.

If you would like to change your birth control,
please call 786-4040 to make an appointment.
