Office of Sponsored Programs
The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is located in Suite 115 in the Administration Building and is open during normal business hours from 8am - 5pm.
OSP is responsible for following ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and university regulations/policies related to research and external funding of sponsored projects. These areas of compliance include but are not limited to the following: UAA Uniform proposal review policy, OMB Circulars to include; A-21 (2 CFR 220), A-110 (2 CFR 215), And a-133, UAA's federally negotiated agreements to include; F&A and staff benefits, IACUC, IRB, Intellectual Property and Tech Transfer, biohazards and Chemical Hazards, Roles and responsibilities of Deans, Directors, and PI's, and Potential conflicts of interest.
The OSP web outlines our services, policies and regulations and gives helpful information related to proposal preparation and submission. It also provides links to sponsor organizations, guidelines and much more.
Our services are:
- Assist in the development of proposals that meat sponsor criteria
- Assist with proposal preparation and budget development
- Provide final authorization on all proposals to be submitted to sponsors
- Act as a liaison between the university and sponsors concerning pre-award issues
- work with faculty and staff to solve pre-award problems before proposal submission to sponsors
- provide regular training sessions to faculty and staff on related pre-award issues and regulations
