The delegate nomination process for the Conference of Young Alaskans will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 28th, 2005. Delegates to the conference will be announced on November 11, 2005 at the University of Alaska Anchorage. The Conference of Young Alaskans will be held at the University of Alaska Fairbanks on January 13-16, 2006.

Sponsored by the University of Alaska and President Mark Hamilton as a part of the fiftieth anniversary of Alaska's Constitutional Convention, the Conference of Young Alaskans will draw fifty-five young Alaskans (ages 16-25) from across the state to focus on five issue areas affecting Alaska. The delegates to the conference will develop vision statements and propose courses of action over the weekend gathering.

The university will cover travel and lodging costs for all accepted delegates.
