What is the Idea Bank?
This is the place to submit your suggestions and ideas for improving and streamlining the University’s processes, procedures, and policies.

Submit an constructive suggestion and you will get an
Idea Bank Water Bottle and You will be eligible for the “Suggestion of the Quarter” award of a
$100 Bookstore Gift Certificate and you will also be eligible for the
yearly grand prize of TWO round trip Alaska Airlines Tickets (to any destination in the Continental U.S.) .
What is a constructive suggestion? We are looking for suggestions that:
• Improve the efficiency of a department, program, or procedure
• Improve services that support the University
• Eliminate unnecessary procedures or duplication of effort
• Save time, money, or materials
What is not a constructive suggestion? Avoid submitting suggestions that:
• Offer vague generalizations rather than specific recommendations
• Do not include solutions or plans for improvement
• Have already been suggested as the result of an audit, study, survey, or research
• Are currently already being reviewed
• Propose following established procedures which are not being followed
• Relate to personal grievances, classification, or pay issues
How do I submit a suggestion? Click on “
Submit your idea” and fill in the blanks provided. You will receive a reply that your suggestion was received. Managers will evaluate your suggestion and reply back to you and the Idea Bank coordinator within 30 days. If your suggestion is determined to be constructive, you will be contacted by the Idea Bank coordinator and awarded an Idea Bank water bottle. You will also automatically become a candidate for the next quarterly suggestion award and the yearly suggestion award. Your suggestion will be posted on the Web site, along with the University’s response.
