Chancellor's Awards For Excellence 2008
UAA has an exciting new Chancellor Awards Program. Unfortunately, time constraints and technical difficulties with the new format will result in a postponement of the new awards for the major academic and administrative units until next year. We will, however, for this transition year proceed with the new University-wide awards as shown below. Current UAA faculty and staff may be nominated for these awards across campuses and units. However, employees whose primary job duties include university diversity or sustainability functions are not eligible for nomination in those award categories. The criteria for these five awards are shown below. Nominations for these awards will be accepted on the UAA HRS website from April 4th until May 15th at this location. The winners will be announced at the Staff and Faculty Convocation in August.
University Diversity – Individual

- Increasing visibility, representing diverse voices, advocating, showing program initiative, and creating a sense of community as a public square.

We are sorry for the confusion about this new program. If you have questions, please contact Human Resources. We will continue to evaluate the process and make changes as needed in the future to continue to improve the Chancellor’s Awards. Please look forward to the full new program to be fully announced and implemented next calendar year.
