Summer 2008 Student Housing
The University provides approximately 45 single-person spaces in apartment-style housing for the summer sessions. To be eligible for a summer housing, residents must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credits each summer session, or one 3-credit, 10-week course.
Summer student housing is offered in the Main Apartment Complex (MAC) only. Each apartment contains a shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom, in addition to four single-person bedrooms. Apartments are fully furnished, including a dishwasher, dining table, sofas, chairs, tables, desks, and beds (mattresses are 36" x 80"). Residents will need to provide their own linens, pillows, blankets, cookware, and eating utensils. There is a coin operated washer/dryer facility on-site. The apartments are about a 10-minute walk from the Library, Student Union, Sports Center, and classrooms.
The Application Process:
Applications for Summer 2008 academic housing will be available beginning March 1, 2008. Students interested in academic summer housing can download the summer housing application from this website or can contact the UAA Housing office beginning on that date. A $35.00 nonrefundable application fee will be required to process your application. The date we receive your application and fee will determine your position on the summer waiting list. Submitting an application and fee does not guarantee a room assignment, however every effort will be made to accommodate your room request given the limited space available.
PLEASE NOTE: Receiving a room assignment for summer housing does not guarantee a room assignment for the fall semester/academic year.
Services for Students with Disabilities:
A number of the apartments are specifically designed to accommodate students with both temporary and permanent disabilities. Please contact the University Housing office to discuss needs and obtain information on housing accessibility and services.
