Honors Student Rhea Cardwell excels on the Volleyball Court

Senior outside hitter Rhea Cardwell, an Honors student double majoring in English and Political Science, has been leading the UAA Seawolves Volleyball team to an outstanding start to their season.  Rhea had 11 kills and 10 digs in a game against Western State at the Cactus Classic at Antelope Gymnasium. They are currently on a five game winning streak.  Great job Rhea.

Honors students will be meeting at 5pm at Fireplace in the Commons or 5:30 at the Downtown Parkstrip to partcipate in the Light the Night Walk - a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  For more details, contact Amber at psals4@uaa.alaska.edu

Spend Spring Semester in Washington DC - Full Scholarships Available.

hrough The Washington Center, UAA students can participate in semester-long academic internships in Washington, D.C. for credit. The fifteen-week program provides tailored internships that match the students’ academic, personal, and professional interests. The scholarship covers the program fee, housing, roundtrip air travel, and a living expense allowance.  Three full scholarships are available for students from Alaska for Spring 2009.  The application deadline is November 15.  For application materials, visit the website.  If you have any questions, contact Marian Mitchell
