Federal regulations require all first-time
Federal Stafford Loan and Graduate PLUS borrowers to
participate in Entrance Loan Counseling
before receiving the first disbursement
of their loan proceeds. If you are a
transfer student, you must complete the
Entrance Interview at UAA.

Federal regulations require all Direct Federal Stafford student loan and Graduate PLUS borrowers to participate in Exit Loan Counseling whenever you drop below half-time enrollment status, withdraw, or graduate.

Grad PLUS Entrance Loan Counseling

Federal regulations require that you complete
an entrance counseling session.  The counseling
session provides information about how to
manage your student loans, both before and after
college.

Grad PLUS Loan Exit Counseling

Before you graduate (or if you drop below full-time
attendance), you are required to complete an
exit counseling session. The counseling session
helps guide you in managing your student loans after college.
