Transferring Within UA's Institutions

UAA * UAF * UAS * PWSCC
2001-2002 Academic Year

**In order to assist students transferring among UAA, UAF, UAS and PWSCC, who have not yet completed their GER’s, courses that fulfill the GER’s at each institution have been identified.

Transferring to UAA from:

**Credit for course work successfully completed at one UA institution towards fulfillment of the GER’s at that institution is guaranteed to transfer towards fulfillment of the same categories at all other UA institutions. This applies even if there is no directly matching course at the institution to which the student transfers. It should be noted that the 34 credit common core is a minimum requirement for general education. An institution may require more than 34 general education credits for its baccalaureate degrees. Students must meet the total requirement at the institution granting the degree.

**Students who have received a baccalaureate degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks or the University of Alaska Southeast will be considered to have completed UAA’s General Education Requirements.

**Grades of “D” received at UAF, UAS, or PWSCC will transfer to UAA providing the student has a 2.00 or higher cumulative GPA at the institution where the “D” was received.
