PICRProgram Improvement and Curriculum Review (PICR)
Purpose: PICR reviews, offers recommendations and approves program improvement and curriculum development proposals that are learner centered, meet educational standards and integrate quality assessment tools. We guide this process by establishing guidelines, coordinating with all levels of curriculum/program approval, and issuing recommendations. Scope: PICR is charged with critically analyzing, initiating, reviewing, or approving academic policy, new courses and programs, and any academic issue related to curriculum. This process helps improve student academic success and align college efforts with community needs. PICR reviews and suggests improvement of credit courses, programs, and new prefixes before approving these actions to be forwarded to the next review level. PICR also reviews, suggests improvements, and approves non-credit and CEU courses. PICR continuously evaluates the processes surrounding the development, delivery, and revision of programs, courses, and curriculum policies. The CTC PICR committee meets Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. in UC 132N. 2012-2013 Committee Members
