Service Learning
UAA offers dozens of classes each semester that use the techniques of service learning to connect students to community organizations and projects where they can learn while contributing. Contact the Center for Community Engagement and Learning for more information.
Undergraduate Research in the Community
UAA offers a grant program for undergraduate projects that actively involve and meet the needs of community partners. Awards fund up to $2,000 in project expenses, plus a $500 stipend for the student researcher. For more information, contact the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship.
Emerging Community Leaders
Community organizations and agencies who wish to partner with UAA in identifying emerging leaders and supporting them as they increase their skills through higher education are invited to apply for a tuition waiver for up to 12 credits per semester. See flyer for more details.
