Leadership and Professional Development
A significant number of faculty throughout the UAA system are serving in leadership roles in administration and academic departments. These roles require a sophisticated understanding of a wide range of issues and processes not covered in faculty orientation or general faculty development workshops. Yet the high-level functioning of individuals in these roles is crucial to the success of UAA’s mission and programs.
CAFE has offered and will continue to offer leadership development opportunities.
Leadership, Team Building and Conflict Management
This module on "Leadership, Team Building and Conflict Management" is based on materials presented by Walter H. Gmelch in an all-day workshop held on April 6, 2006, at the University of Alaska Anchorage. The workshop was for all UA department heads and chairs. It was co-sponsored by UA Statewide and CAFE.
