Claudia Dybdahl is co-author of a published book on integrating science and the language arts in elementary school. Her area of research is reading education and she has numerous publications in that field. Current projects include volunteer work for the International Reading Association and supporting the work of the Center for Democratic Education in Tirana, Albania. Claudia began her public school teaching career in Southeast Alaska. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Arizona and came to the University of Alaska Anchorage in 1984. Claudia currently teaches literacy courses for the Department of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education
 

Integrating Science and Language Arts

This is a hands-on activity-based book. It focuses on dynamic science demonstration and exploration plus reading/writing processes such as comprehension, research, response, and exploration of books and genre. Efficient and easy-to-use, it represents the efforts of one co-author with expertise in science education and the other with expertise in language arts education. Co-authored by Donna Shaw, Ph.D..
