Students with Undeclared Majors

Students admitted to UAA as baccalaureate students, indicating an "undeclared" major and students admitted to the Associate of Arts degree are assigned to the Advising and Testing Center. Students attending as non-degree seeking students may also seek advisement through the Advising and Testing Center. Please remember your picture ID when coming to meet with your advisor.

Advisors can assist in identifying courses for your completion of general education requirements. The center also provides education and career exploration testing, presents a variety of weekly workshops and teaches several classes.

Students looking for advising under these circumstances can contact the center by:

  • Making An Appointment - You can make an appointment to meet with an advisor by calling 907-786-4500. You are welcome to request an appointment with a specific advisor. Advising appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes. To get the most out of your visit, it is a good idea to prepare by making a list of the questions you want to ask.
  • Walk In Advising - At various times during the day, staff advisors may be able to meet with students who do not have appointments. Although we try to accommodate "walk-ins" as best we can, there is no guarantee an advisor will be available at all times.
  • E-mailing for Advice
  • Career Advising
